Meet Suzanne

As I am writing this, I just realized that I have been a hair stylist and business owner for eleven years now -- time sure flies when you do what you love for a living.  In 2009 I graduated from Paul Mitchell The School, Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia.  I then moved from Georgia to Ohio and soon started my first booth rental salon business in Centerville, Ohio.  Six years later, I took a break from work to be home with our son, Henry, after he was born. In the same year, we moved to Vero Beach, Florida to be closer to family.  Soon after we moved to Florida, I felt the urge to get back behind the chair.  I gained a full clientele in a brand new town within a year, which is something that I will always be proud of.  I worked in my salon with my wonderful clients for the three years that we lived there. Life’s exciting journey brought us back to Ohio and to this beautiful town of Waynesville.

I love meeting new clients, consulting with them to design a fitting ‘hair game plan’, and then creating hair that makes them feel beautiful and confident. Too often we get lost in life’s busyness and put our self-care on the back burner.  My job is to pamper my clients and to make them feel most important, even if it's just for an hour or two.  A strong, trustworthy client/stylist relationship is something that I always strive to achieve, and my clients truly become my friends.  I love my daily text messages from my past Centerville and Vero Beach clients -- just wanting to say hello and to catch up on life.  That always makes me smile!  I am passionate about continuing my education for my clients by regularly attending conventions, webinars, and through constant practice -- because, as human-beings, we are always learning.  My clients would describe me as a perfectionist who takes great pride in the task at hand.

When my husband, Blake, and I decided to move our family back to Ohio, we knew that we wanted to live in Waynesville.  We fell in love with this small town feel and the beautiful country roads. We bought our Victorian home from friends, who are also the original builders.  It has always been a dream of mine to own a salon inside my home -- to have everything that I love under the same roof.  And that is where the design plans for SALON 356 began.

The perfectionist trait that I sometimes reluctantly have is not limited to hair.  This salon has truly become my baby -- from designing the floorplan (and redesigning it twice), to choosing the right materials for the salon and it's connecting bathroom. I wanted SALON 356 to feel trendy and fresh, while offering a clean, tranquil environment to relax in during your hair visits.  I look forward to bringing my passion and love of the hair industry, as well as my valued client relationships, to Waynesville.  I hope to see you soon!
